For a start, I'd have to remember what I've said, whereas with truth there's no need to remember what one has said - except, of course, in the context of learning. Lying also triggers a response in body language.
53 Books You Won't Be Able To Put Down
The body is not designed to lie, but to exist and live true to form. I do consider lying an asset, a tool to minimize casual interest read gossip in me and my life. I do not lie to friends but to people who have not yet exhibited sufficient ability to respect my privacy, should I share my vulnerability with them.
I also lie to protect my anonymity should I be working on a project involving some gift be it time or money.
So, in this case, I would consider I'm protecting my resources I am a student of body language but have been witness to folks lying when I couldn't be certain until, of course, the inevitable occurs and the truth comes out. I don't think the subject of lying can be adequately discussed until the bias against it is removed.
The author of the article states more than once that everyone lies. The truth is, not everyone wants to know the truth.

Tell a woman she does indeed look fat in those jeans and see how much she appreciates your honesty. A lot of times words do not mean what they mean. Much communication occurs under the surface and words are not the most important part of an interaction, unless you're autistic and take words at their dictionary face value. People lie to legitimately protect their privacy.
Not every person is entitled to have their questions answered or curiosity satisfied at my expense. It's my responsibility to take care of myself. Exposing myself to others in the guise of some Sunday-School childish 'honesty' is just stupid. Most people know that without over-thinking it or getting a degree in psychology. And so, they lie.
Where Should I Begin?
I think the bias against lying comes from a lazy reading of the Bible. When I say that lying is not a 'sin' people always trip over their tongues in their frantic rush to smugly inform me that it's against the 10 commandments. Um, no, it isn't. In other words, don't commit perjury. So -- instead of an unexamined knee-jerk false dichotomy of lying vs 'honesty' maybe a little deeper insight into lying would be refreshing.
Also, since I'm writing a book here anyway -- let me say that I call total BS on people who say they were hurt more by a spouse's lying about an affair than the affair itself. Yeah right. One of the instances where I might lie is to be tactful rather than arguing with someone's hubris. I don't let any individual or group set my moral compass; I try not to set anyone else's either.
I do love a good debate and I think this forum is great and enjoy the discourse. But examples of lying are not what I took away from the piece. It is the stance that lying always hurts either the speaker, the recipient or both. I do not concur. Appreciated your comments the best. Am pondering adding a post about honesty to my blog. Would love to know the name of your book.
I agree with trhe subsequent comments Rhe ability to do anything woukd not exist if there were no point in iit. But that is not to say that application of rhe abioity in any circumstances of one's choosing is necessarily ok. Since the exercise or use of choice is, at least in my ohilosophy, symptomatic of someone who is lost, lying in that state is a devise for finding onself.
We survived after an affair, but it was a very hard time for me. We were married for years and I was missing the thrill and good sex we had in the beginning of our marriage. I didn't want to get involved emotionally with another person as I love my wife. So signed up to www. There I found what I needed in that moment.
Fun, sex, new experiences and interesting ladies. I stopped cheating on her, putting more effort in our marriage. I'm not happy with it, but I'll keep on lying for not hurting my wife and saving our marriage which is better than before. I intensely dislike lying but there are times that it is the wisest course of action. There is much wisdom in ancient saying - "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven".forum2.quizizz.com/la-humildad-de-dios-pozo.php
